WEEK TEN- Daily Log: Thursday, May 3, 2007

  • Today was a very off-beat day because we did not go to class due to the musical. My day started off kind of shaky because I had to skip my lunch period. Due to the fact that there was a very long mass at Holy Trinity today, I had to sign out of second period (I had already been signed out by Ms. R. because I read in the mass, but verified this with Mr. Aresta) and go right to my placement while eating my lunch on the way.

  • I got to St. Andrew right on time and finished my lunch very fast. My first task was to make thirty copies of two activities. I then made some photocopies using the risograph for Mme. Colonna. I had to make them back and front, so I had to find a way to do this. I ended up just printing one side, then feeding the same pages into the risograph so the other side got printed on.

  • Today is the finale of the musical, so the whole afternoon was dedicated to perfecting the play in the form of a dress rehersal. We brought the kids from each of the french classes down to the gym to watch the play, as well as perform. The play is really good, and I think that they will be amazing this evening.

  • When the play finished I helped Mme. Mercer clean out Mrs. Malizia's office cabinets. I labelled some materials, and brought them to the storage room. I also brought down some old mugs and plates to the staffroom. I worked for three and a half hours today.
